Law Enforcement Torch Run
Known as ‘The Guardians of the Flame’, the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is a charitable program that is the largest grass roots funding and awareness vehicle for Special Olympics globally. Partnering with Special Olympics has seen over 3,000 fundraising events occur globally each year. They are the guardians of the Special Olympics flame, the ‘Flame of Hope’. Together, Law Enforcement Officers and Special Olympics athletes create the ultimate team to proudly carry the torch for the Games. It is an image of unity, as two communities become one in celebration of inclusion and strength. WA Police Force employees volunteer by assisting at events and donating through work place fundraisers. LETR provides the opportunity for local police offers to engage and connect with the intellectually disabled community.

Fiona Wood Foundation
The Fiona Wood Foundation is an independent not-for-profit Led by Professor Fiona Wood. Our vision is to deliver scarless healing in mind and body to those who suffer from burn injuries. We exist for current and future patients with the knowledge that every intervention from the point of injury influences the scar worn for life.
We are resolute in our dedication to leading the way in global burn research and believe that by continually expanding the body of burns knowledge in the physical, physiological, and psychological impacts we can improve the quality-of-life outcomes for burn patients now and into the future.
Through the translation of our research findings into clinical care best practices, we develop innovative treatments and technologies and provide essential psychological support to patients and their families, ensuring a holistic approach to burn care and recovery. Our efforts have led to advancements in clinical care excellence, benefiting adults and children’s patients and their families in WA and beyond.
This year the Foundation plans to use donations from THE PLUNGE to establish a comprehensive data platform to expand our understanding of burn injuries that span the patient’s journey. Using the biological samples collected from our already established adult and children burns biobank, the platform will enable us to curate and safely store data sets, including metabolomics, cell profiles, clinical data, and hair analysis. Additionally, it will facilitate interdisciplinary research and collaboration among burn specialists, surgeons, scientists, and other collaborators, paving the way for impactful research projects in burns and other areas of health.
Data is pivotal to translating research from bench to bedside in our pursuit of clinical excellence and care. Help us to shape the future of burn care and recovery.
Guide Dogs WA
As the pioneers of Guide Dogs in Australia, Guide Dogs WA has been training life-changing Guide and Assistance Dogs for people with low or no vision, disability, or illness for over 70 years. Guide Dogs WA provides hope, independence, and opportunity to those who need it most.
Our dogs, trained in Western Australia, are intelligent, perceptive, and much more than just companions for people. They become a pathway to a life that previously felt out of reach, creating new possibilities, opportunities, and hope.
It takes two years and costs more than $50,000 to train a playful pup to become a working dog. Whether they become a Guide Dog, Autism-Assistance Dog, Facility Dog, Dog-Assisted Therapy Dog, or part of our Breeding program, all our dogs have the power to transform lives.
Guide Dogs WA relies on the generosity of the wider community to help us provide these life changing dogs to West Australians living with low vision, disability, or illness. Whether you choose to support us by donating or fundraising on our behalf, every gift is appreciated and makes a significant difference. Thank you for being part of something truly special.
Activ Foundation
Established in 1951, Activ was formed by a group of families who wanted more for their children who lived with disability and had become marginalised by society. This fundamental belief in people is what still drives us today.
We focus on enabling and supporting people with disability in their transition towards independence. We believe independence is the freedom to make choices about your own life and taking responsibility for those decisions.
We imagine a world where people living with disability have the same opportunities as everyone else. To live a life of their choice, in their community.
As WA's largest registered NDIS provider, Activ supports more than 1,000 individuals and their families across Western Australia. We offer many services throughout the state, including:
Supported Accommodation

Teach Learn Grow
We provide free one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to children in rural and remote Australian communities. With the support of our partners, sponsors, donors and volunteers we ignite a movement to influence change through education.
For many children, living in a rural or remote area of Australia means they will have significantly lower educational outcomes, which have a profound effect on their future.
12 Buckets
12 Buckets helps local children to flourish regardless of background or circumstance. It has been identified that some primary school students in educationally disadvantaged areas show less resilience at school due to adverse childhood experiences or trauma. We support kids to develop their feelings of safety, which fuels their ability to connect, sparking their creativity where their opportunities for success become endless. We do this through a place-based mentoring approach.12 Buckets is a place for connection and a place to be challenged to grow. It is a safe space for kids to take a break, focus on themselves, dream big and know anything is possible.
